PATA Norway Chapter is a part of PATA International, which was founded in Hawaii in 1951. PATA is a non-profit organisation which covers 43 countries and three continents, from Dubai, across the whole of Asia and the Pacific, and to countries on the North American west coast.
PATA’s goal is to promote tourism and travel to these areas by amongst other things, increasing the travel industry’s knowledge of and interest in the world’s fastest growing market for travel. PATA Norway Chapter has strengthened this last two years and now has over 100 members, including travel agents, tour operators, airlines, tourist offices and the press.

Discover America Norway is a non-profit organization working voluntarily to promote tourism from Norway to the US. All activities and marketing are entirely funded by member fees. Established in October 1998, since then one of the largest and most active committees, presently with 60 different US and Norwegian companies and Tourism offices as members.

Virke represents more than 15,000 businesses with more than 200,000 employees from many different sectors. Common to them all is that they represent the working life of the future – based on knowledge, service and innovation. VIRKE represents the travel industry as the sucessor of The Norwegian Travel Trade Association, representing Norwegian travel agencies and tour operatorts, as well as providers of transport, accomodation and activities. The section covering the former Travel Trade Associaton of Norway is headed by travel trade director Rolf Forsdahl.

ANTOR Norway is a network of NTO´s, embassies and other official representatives responsible for promoting their country as a tourist destination in the Norwegian market. ANTOR Norway serves as a connecting link between these representatives and the distributors in the Norwegian travel market, as well as to media. Annually there are several workshops organized in various Norwegian cities, where the tourist offices present themselves to the local travel trade. ANTOR Norway is also involved in coordinating various activities during travel fairs, exchange of information, discussions on relevant topics and future activities. At the annual meetings (spring and fall), key note speakers also present information on relevant topics and trends. ANTOR Norway also publishes a newsletter 4 times a year, which is distributed to the travel industry and to media representatives. The active base of ANTOR Norway consists of some 35-40 NTO´s who are members, but some of the activities are also supported and attended by other countries and some other partners.
